Love this tool! Devon
Big fan of this free tool! XAMPP

Joomla

I've only used for Joomla, but you could use this with any open source MySql database I imagine, like wordpress, and even possibly some open source shopping carts like zen cart or. oscommerce

Hope it helps someone!

Yeah, on this site we are running Drupal, and Xampp is a nice band-aid, but nothing beats configuring it yourself.

Thanks for sharing though.

Ooh... let's have another Joomla/Drupal debate! Ha ha...

And maybe a LAMP package vs. Manual Install debate while we're at it.

Then again, we might scare away our lovely Photoshop & Illustrator friends from ever setting foot in one of our meetings... ha ha.

Oh, well. Another debate quashed before takeoff. Sigh...

Devon, that guy talks way fast. I thought it was in Spanish at first! Seriously, thanks for the resource. This would really be helpful to a lot of folks starting out.

I still bang my head on my Windows install (PHP,Apache,MySQL,ZendFrameworks) and various things and sometimes am very tempted to use XAMPP again like when I first started.

It has gotten a lot better than when I first tried it. When we meet, I would be interested in getting your opinion on Joomla and what you like about it.
